Root Canals & Extractions

How do I know if I need a root canal or an extraction?

If you are suffering from severe dental pain, or an infection or abscess, the chances are, you may need a root canal. A root canal will allow you to save an infected tooth, when I tooth cannot be saved, extraction must be performed to prevent further painful and dangerous infections. Once a root canal or extraction is performed, your pain will likely dissipate rapidly.

Root Canal Treatment

Root canal therapy has often been viewed as an uncomfortable procedure when in reality, that is not the case. Root canal treatment can be performed comfortably and it allows you to keep a tooth that would otherwise have to be removed.

Tooth Extractions

Although our goal is to help you keep your teeth for a lifetime, sometimes the best or only possible treatment is extraction of a tooth. In such a situation, our goal is to provide a safe and painless extraction. Often, we will recommend a treatment to help preserve the bone in the area which makes it possible to place an implant in the future.
