Your First Visit to Soho Dental…
At your first visit, it is very important to us that we get to know you better. It would be our pleasure to give you a tour of the clinic and show you the unique design features intended for your comfort. Our décor has been selected specifically to create a relaxing environment during your visits. We selected our equipment so that you receive the full benefits of the newest technologies that are available in dentistry.
During this visit, we will spend time with you to understand your specific dental needs. At Soho Dental, all of our new patients benefit from a comprehensive examination. This examination includes a complete check of your chewing muscles, jaw joint, an oral cancer screen as well as a dental check of your gums and teeth.
We will take a full series of radiographs (x-rays) which is very valuable in giving us information about possible cavities that we cannot see just by looking in your mouth. Also, these radiographs tell us about the amount of bone surrounding each tooth which is important in diagnosing gum problems. We will also be taking digital photographs, which help us in diagnosis and treatment planning. These digital images will allow you to have a unique view of your teeth. In this way, our patients are truly partners with us in making the best decisions for their oral health.

Complete Oral Examination

This includes a full set of digital x-rays, charting, gum measurements, head and neck exam, TMJ/jaw exam, oral cancer screening and an overview of everything with the dentist.
After this initial comprehensive exam, we will be able to create a custom treatment plan for you, which will address your dental concerns and provide a time frame for treatment as well as approximate costs.
It would be helpful to us if you would bring a current list of your medications, and provide us with your updated health history. If you have dental benefits, please bring your insurance information so that we can assist you in understanding the details of your plan. We will also be able to submit your claims electronically so that you are reimbursed quickly.

Absolutely. We partner with major dental insurers to get you quality care at affordable prices. We also offer a real-time online benefits check at your request. We will submit an estimate for any dental work to be completed at your request. The insurers we partner with include: Accerta, Blue Cross, Benecaid, Claimsecure, Desjardins, Empire Life, Equitable Life, The Canada Life Assurance, Green Shield, Group Medical Services, Industrial Alliance, Johnson Inc., Manlike, RBC Insurance, RWAM Insurance, Sunlife, and more. Feel free to give our office a call to see if we partner with your insurance company.
You can give us a call at the office or you can email us. Just make sure to do at least 24 hours before your appointment time. If you cancel or reschedule less than 24 hours in advance, there is a $100.00 fee that must be paid before rescheduling. If you no show to your appointment there is also a $100.00 fee that will need to be paid before rescheduling your appointment.
